The Increase
“Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great. The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.” (Psalms 115:11-14)
Today’s Morsel: One of my favorite scriptures is 1 Corinthians 2:9, which says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” As I sometimes sit and ponder my life, I can see the increase of blessings more and more that God keeps sending my way. Think with me for a moment if you will. Scripture says that God will increase you more and more. He will heap blessings upon you and your children. Notice what wisdom says: “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.” (Proverbs 8:17-21) Jesus Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. When we live and do what is right before God, the blessing faucet is turned on and the blessings flow our way. Moses admonished the children of Israel: “If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.” (Deuteronomy 30:10-16) Are you ready for the increase? Tell your children to get ready for their blessing!
Sing: My blessing is coming my way, it’s only a matter of time, until His purpose comes to pass, it’s only a matter of time. I’m waiting for my miracle, I’m waiting for my miracle, I’m waiting for my miracle, overtaken by a blessing.
God recently blessed my wife and I with a child. We have bought only two cans of formula for 40$. We only spent this in preparation. We had no idea how much God would bless us and our child. She is right at 3 months. We have bought no diapers, no large items, clothes all provided, except moms just gotta buy some lol, but we didn't need to. We have a massive abundance of formula, all free, most the bottles were free, or extremely cheap. The blessings keep coming. So much so on some of them, that we are running out of space to put the blessings. God is good!
