Stay Humble
“The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.” (Proverbs 14:14)
Today’s Morsel: One of the first things that we ought to have learned when we became Christians was that it is no longer about us, it’s all about Jesus. If we start to think that it is about us and we have it our way, we are more than likely going to find ourselves frustrated, depressed, stressed, angered, and even worn out because of others’ actions, conduct, decorum, and lack of character. This is why we must do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before our God. Peter said that humility must be put on daily. Like the rest of the armor, it must be worn by you not in a prideful or arrogant state, but with lowliness of mind. Jesus says that the meek shall inherit the earth. Remember, the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. It all belongs to Him. Therefore, if we remain humble, and walk humbly before our God, we will have a portion of what is His. Remember, it’s not about you, it’s all about Jesus and Him crucified.
Sing: He is my everything, He is my all. He is my everything, both great and small. He gave His life for me, made everything new. He is my everything, oh, how about you.
