A Walk In The Park
“And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?” (Genesis 3:8-9)
Today’s Morsel: When is the last time you have gone to the park and just sat on the bench and watched people go by and children play? Or when is the last time you’ve gone to the park, got on a swing, and just returned to your childhood? To me, parks are designed to help reduce anxiety, depression, and stress, as they allow you to focus on nature and get fresh air into your lungs. One of the major causes of stress is not enough fresh air flowing to the brain. If you stay inside too much, life can close in on you. I always tell people who have office jobs and work at computer that they must get up and go outside at least once every two hours. Doing this will help you stay focused and not be overcome with stress. When God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the garden, it was like a perfect park. They could walk and talk with God, eat from all the trees other than the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and they could even play with and observe the animals. Come on, don’t become a couch potato or a computer junkie, get up and get outside. There’s a big park waiting for you to come to and have some fun.
Sing: Every day with Jesus, is sweet than the day before. Every day with Jesus, I love Him more and more. Jesus saves and He keeps me; He’s the One that I’m waiting for. Every day with Jesus, is sweet than the day before.
Thought For Today: Go outside and make a snowman!
