Evidence
“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.” (Jeremiah 32:14)
Today’s Morsel: Has anyone ever just out of the blue walked up to you and asked you if you were a Christian? If so, when you said yes, did you ask them how they knew? What evidence did they tell you that they saw or heard from you that gave you away? You know, there ought to be a lot of evidence that you are a Christian. And one of the major ones ought to be your conduct and character. When Peter was accused of being one of Jesus’ disciples, he tried to deny it. But one of the ladies told him that he was because his speech betrayed him. And so, to deny it due to fear, Peter starts to curse and swear (Mark 14:66-71). If you say that you are a Christian, then there ought to be great evidence in your life, and you should not be ashamed of who you are. Believe me, others are looking for what you have.
Sing: Born-again, there has been a change in me; born-again, just like Jesus said. Born-again, and all because of Calvary, I’m so glad that I’ve been born-again.
