Faint Not
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9)
Today’s Morsel: One of the goals of the enemy of our soul is to get everyone of us to become weary and quit. And he’s being successful in many lives. “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” (Jude 1:20-21) Now is not the time to draw back to perdition. We believe to the saving of the soul. Paul uses the word faint regarding exhaustion, to grow weak and weary, and to tire out; to become faint-hearted. In the New Testament, faint is used in a sense of physical exhaustion. Scripture says, “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” (Matthew 9:36); In other words, it is used figuratively of discouragement of spirit. In today’s world discouragement is center stage in some folk’s life. It shouldn’t be since discouragement is a choice. We must get to the point where we manage ourselves and not get caught-up with all those who are always busy doing nothing. When you are busy, that means Being Under Satan’s Yoke. Listen, Satan would love nothing better than for you to wear yourself out so that you are not effective against him and his kingdom. If he can get you to quit, he knows that he will bring you to his side and he can kick you around like a football. One of the things I like about Gideon and his men was even though they were faint, they kept pursuing their enemy. Rest if you must, but whatever you do, don’t quit!
Sing: I am determined to hold out to the end, Jesus is with me on Him I can depend. Yes I know I have salvation for I feel it in my soul. I am determined to hold out to the end.
