The Rapture
“When the Son of man
shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit
upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and
he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from
the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the
left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of
my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and
ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous
answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or
thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or
naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto
thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have
done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from
me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no
drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not:
sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or
sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them,
saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of
these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting
punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
(Matthew 25:31-46)
Today’s Morsel: In the church,
we use to hear a lot about the rapture. But now that Covid, Omicron, and all
other diseases are running rampant and have taken center stage, people have
lost focus on Jesus' return. Most people have no clue when you talk
about the rapture. And that’s what Satan wants. He wants to distract us so that
we are not ready. But beloved, we still have a mission. As Jude warns, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common
salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the
faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 1:3) “But ye, beloved, he
says, building up yourselves on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making
a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” (Jude 1:20-23) Paul
informs Timothy, “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus
Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his
kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears
from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy
ministry.” (2 Timothy 4:1-5) Jesus is coming. Be ready for in such an hour as
you think not, the Son of Man cometh.
Sing: Oh my brother, are you ready for the
call? To crown your Savior King and Lord of all. The kingdoms of this
world shall soon before Him fall, we shall see the King when He comes.
Thought For Today: Live holy and stay
ready!
