Trust
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding.”
(Proverbs 3:5)
Today’s Morsel: One of the
things about life is whether we like it or not we have to trust people. I
hear folks say, I do not trust people. But really, they do. We
trust people to work on our vehicles. We trust the bank to care for our
money. We trust the pilot that flies the plane. We trust the
teachers to teach us correctly. We trust our pastor to preach
truth. We trust our spouse to be faithful. And we trust our kids to
be home when we tell them. So, why don’t people trust God?
Trust is just another word for faith. If you have weak faith, then ask
yourself why don’t you trust God? If faith comes by hearing and hearing
by the word of God, why don’t Christians do what it says? The word is God
you know.
Sing: Trust and obey, for there is no other
way, to be happy in Jesus, then to trust and obey.
Thought For Today: Walking by faith is
just trusting God.
