Happy Thanksgiving
“O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of
our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a
joyful noise unto him with psalms.” (Psalms 95:1-2)
Today’s Morsel: Across America today, folks will celebrate Thanksgiving Day. A
time of togetherness with family and
friends. Turkey is usually the main meat, and the dessert tables usually include pumpkin pie. It has been a day
set aside for many years as a sign of thanks. It is one family tradition that has seemed to
remain constant. And why shouldn’t it? Paul tells us, “Be careful
for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians 4:6) We
should even bring our prayer requests to God with thanksgiving. The psalmist admonishes us, “O come, let us sing unto
the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come
before his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with
psalms.” What better way to have a Happy Thanksgiving than to come before
Him with Thanksgiving in our hearts and enter into His courts with praise.
Sing:
Thanks! Thanks! I give You thanks, for all You have done. I am so blessed, my
soul has found rest, O’ Lord, I give You thanks.
Thought For Today: “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with
thanksgiving” (Colossians
4:2)
