When Three Become One
“And
king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto
him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and
oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude. And the priests
brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle
of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims. For the
cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the
cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. And they drew out the
staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen
without: and there they are unto this day. There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of
stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out
of the land of Egypt.” (1 Kings 8:5-9)
Today’s Morsel: We
see according to scripture, that God told Moses to put three things inside of
the Ark of the Covenant for a memorial for the children of Israel. They were
the Tables of Stones (Word of Life), the Pot of Manna (Bread of Life), and
Aaron’s Rod that Budded (Resurrection of life). We see that when the priest
brought The Ark of the Covenant into the Temple to put it into its place, there
was nothing inside of it but the two Tables of Stones. The Word of life. I
wonder what happened to the Pot of Manna and Aaron’s Rod? This lets us know
that in the church if we have the word of God, we have everything that we need.
And if we say that we are born again, the Word of life (1 John 1:1), bread of
life (John 6:35), and the resurrection of life (John 11:25) must be inside of
us. As they all represent one. The Lord Jesus Christ!
Sing: It’s
all in Him, it’s all in Him, the fullness of the Godhead, it’s all in Him, it’s
all in Him, it’s all in Him, the Mighty God is Jesus and it’s all in Him.
Thought For Today: “And without controversy great is the mystery of
godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of
angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into
glory.” (1
Timothy 3:16)
