True or False
“There
is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the
ways of death.” (Proverbs
16:25)
Today’s Morsel: One of the things about true and false
examinations is that you must be sure of your answer. One word added or a word
missing can cause you to answer incorrectly. The same holds true to our
salvation. It’s a true or false test. If you do not search the scriptures for
yourself and you just obey what someone else tells you without you knowing
personally what the scripture says, you could miss heaven and end up in
hell. Jesus said: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye
have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come
to me, that ye might have life.” (John 5:39-40) There are not many ways to
heaven, and we are not all God’s children. Some belong to the devil (Roman
8:9, 1 John 3:10). There is only one way to
heaven and the Bible states that plainly. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and
the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) It’s not being a part of a
denomination that's going to get you there. It will be your obedience to the
truth of God’s word. Listen closely, all roads do not lead to Rome nor does
every church lead you to heaven.
Sing: Who
is this who for our sorrow offers comfort and relief, bringing sunshine to the
dark and shadowed life; saying softly cease repining, lift thou soul above its
grief, let the peace pass understanding still the strife.
It is Jesus, Jesus, sad
one weep no more. He will heal the brokenhearted, open wide the prison
door. He is able to deliver evermore.
Thought For Today: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to
your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as
the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:38-39)
Good word! Ministering the same nuance this morning and take it as confirmation.
