Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 3 May 2022

Bringing Men To Jesus

And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.(Mark 2:1-5)

Today’s Morsel:  When you invite someone to church what do you tell them before they get there? Do you share the gospel or are you waiting for the pastor to explain it from the pulpit? Throughout scripture, we see that Jesus oftentimes operated on others' faith. The Centurion interceded for his servant and Jesus healed him. Jarius interceded for his daughter and Jesus raised her from the dead. Mary interceded for the groom at the wedding feast who had no more wine, and Jesus turned the water into wine. Moses interceded for his sister Miriam and God spared her life. And we see in today’s passage of scripture that these four men interceded for their friend and Jesus raised him up and forgave his sins. When we bring others to Jesus, we must believe that whatever we are believing Jesus to do, He will do it. Jesus said that all things are possible to him that believeth. (Mark 9:23)  Believe not only for yourself but also for others today.

Sing: I believe God, I believe God, that He will do just as He said.  Trust and obey, believe Him, and say, I believe, I believe God.

If you need salvation now, or the Holy Ghost and power, just trust and obey, believe Him, and say, I believe, I believe God.

Thought For Today: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
