God’s Grace
“For
the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us
that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly,
righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope,
and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who
gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto
himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and
exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.” (Titus 2:11-15)
Today’s Morsel:
What is God’s grace? Is it just God’s unmerited love in the life of the
believer, or is there something else? I believe that God’s grace is His
Divine Influence in the life of the believer. If one is truly saved, then
God’s grace should be evident in that person's life. How he treats
others. How he conducts himself. How he serves God and
others. How he tells others about God. How he displays
compassion. How he resists evil. How he submits himself to
others. How he gives into the work of God. How he speaks and
listens. All these things should all be evidence of that saving grace,
which only comes from Christ. “Neither
is there salvation
in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.” (Acts
4:12) "God gives no man his grace," says William Tyndale, that he
should let it lie still and do no good as a result; "but that he should
increase it, and multiply it, and show it to others, and openly declare it, so
that outward works provoke and draw others to God.” What are you
doing with the grace that God has given you? There should be daily
evidence to others of His grace in your life.
Sing:
Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that will pardon and cleanse within.
Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our sins.
Thought For Today: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not
of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8)
Grace: God's Riches At Christ's Expense.
