Seek God With All Your Heart
“And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.” (2 Chronicles 31:20-21)
Today’s Morsel: Hezekiah is listed as one of the good kings of Judah. Scripture says, that he did that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. He was not a half-hearted king. He did that which was pleasing to God, and he did it with all his heart. And he prospered. What a testimony. Some folks like to preach about prosperity, but there is no prosperity where there is no commitment to God and the things of God. Men may have great wealth and things, but that does not mean that they are prosperous. When you prosper in God, it means that God is providing for you without having you to kill yourself. When you are prospering in God, you are not always tired, weary, and filled with anxiety. You know, Job sought God daily with his heart, and he seemed to prosper because he did that which God asked of him to do. If you want to prosper, the Lord simply says: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13) If you desire to prosper stay in the word and live it. As David said: “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” (Psalms 1:1-3)
Sing: Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds; Lord, You are, more costly than gold. Lord, You are more precious than silver, and nothing I desire compares to You.
Thought For Today: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)
