Spiritual Sensitivity and The Anointing
“Now when they had
gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the
Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, After they were come to Mysia, they
assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. And they passing
by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There
stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and
help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go
into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach
the gospel unto them.” (Acts 16:6-10)
Today’s Morsel: There are two things
that you cannot be taught by others. They are spiritual sensitivity and the
anointing. These things come from God alone. For this reason, we must ensure
that we are spending quality time with Him so that when He speaks, we know His
voice and are ready to go where He may send us. Notice, Luke writes that they
were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia after they came to
Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. And
they passed by Mysia and came down to Troas. And then he says that Paul got a
vision of a man in Macedonia saying come over and help us, immediately they
endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called
them to preach the gospel unto them. That is operating in the anointing and
being spiritually sensitive. No one can teach you these things but God. “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which
is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But
the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are
foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned” Paul said, (1 Corinthians 2:12-14). If you want to see the miraculous, learn to be sensitive
to the Holy Ghost and allow it to lead you according to God’s word.
Sing: Where He leads me, I will follow;
Where He leads me, I will follow, Where He leads me, I will follow, I will go
with Him, with Him, all the way.
Thought For Today: “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But
we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians
2:16)
