Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 27 March 2021

Something Beautiful

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1-11)

Today’s Morsel:  Have you ever stopped to consider just how beautiful God’s creation really is?  I have been all around the world, and I will tell you that I have seen some of the most beautiful sites in the world.  If you have ever noticed how beautiful some of the pictures that you have seen, these are actual locations in God’s creation.  Right where you live are some of the most beautiful sites that others would desire to see.  Why not get outside and explore the beauty in your area. Not Covid nor anyone can stop you from going out into God’s creation and enjoying its beauty.  Solomon says that there is a time and a season for every purpose under heaven; and that God has made everything beautiful in His time.  The trees that now seem dead will soon bud and produce flowers and fruit. Wildlife will soon appear again for your viewing.  The caterpillar will soon emerge as a beautiful butterfly. Rainbows and sunsets will soon again appear after the rain.  There will be purple mountains.  And folks who were once scarred because of sin will rise from the waters of baptism, more beautiful than you have ever seen.  All because He makes all things beautiful in His time.

Sing:  Something beautiful, something good; all my confusion Jesus understood.  All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife, but He made something beautiful out of my life.

Thought For Today:  Nature is calling you.
