When the Redeemed Are
Gathering In
“Therefore the
redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and
everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy;
and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the
son of man which shall be made as grass; And forgettest the LORD thy maker,
that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth;
and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as
if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?” (Isaiah
51:11-13)
Today’s Morsel: 'I am thinking
of the rapture in our blessed home on high, when the redeemed are gathering
in. How we will raise the heavenly anthem in that city in the sky, when
the redeemed are gathering in.' This old song was a hallmark for the
church to remind them of where the church is headed. This world is not
our home, we are just passing through. Can you imagine what the line will
look like of those heading up to glory? Isaiah states, “Therefore the
redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting
joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow
and mourning shall flee away.” Isaiah uses a portrait of Israel’s
returning from captivity, to show us the same everlasting joy and gladness that
shall be upon our heads when we are being taken to our heavenly home. Oh,
what singing, Oh what shouting on that happy morning when we all shall
rise. And we will see the one who saved us and who has kept us by His
grace.
Sing: Therefore, the redeemed of the LORD
shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be
upon their head. They shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and
mourning shall flee away.
Therefore, the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come
with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head.
Thought For Today: Your mansion is
almost completed.
