All Things
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22)
Today’s Morsel: Do you have the faith to believe that what you ask of God in prayer He will do it and you will receive it? Scripture tells us that the word of God did not profit the children of Israel when they heard it because they did not mix it with their faith. Our faith must be mixed with the word of God for it to come to fruition. If we hear the word of God and do not believe it or if we doubt it, it will not happen. Jesus didn’t say in somethings, He said in all things. You may be saying, well I asked but it hasn’t or didn’t happen. When we make our request known unto God and we end it with Thy will be done, then the outcome is up to Him. We just need to keep believing. When Jairus was told that his daughter was dead, Jesus told him to be not faithless but believe. How would you have handled this if you were Jairus? You were just told that your daughter was dead, and Jesus tells you something different? Would you still have the faith to believe? Your faith must be in Jesus, not in the things that you are asking Him for. Yes, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen, but the timing is in His hands and not ours. Remember, God’s ways and thoughts aren’t ours.
Sing: What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear. What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer. Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations, is there trouble anywhere, we should never be discouraged, take it to the Lord and prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful, who will all our sorrow share. Jesus knows our every weakness, take it to the Lord in prayer.
