Helping In A Crisis
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1-2)
Today’s Morsel: The world that we live in now is in a troubled and confused state. People are looking for help and direction to get them out of the crisis they now find themselves in. Sickness, homelessness, addictions, abuse, fear, loss of hope, pain, suicide of loved ones, and confusion are just a few of the crisis they now find themselves facing. There are troubles on every side. Perplexed and in despair, cast down, and being destroyed. Those jokes they heard about hell and Satan that they laughed at are now appearing more real. Hell has enlarged itself. Satan is taking people captive at his will. People are in crisis and stress mode. Disasters, catastrophes, upheavals, and ruin have folks crying out for help. Some may find help in the world to relieve the immediate pain, but the long-term help and healing can only come from the Lord. And so, you who know the Lord were commissioned by Jesus over two thousand years ago to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, to set at liberty them that are abused, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Remember, the ‘Golden Rule’ reflects that what you would have others do unto you, you should do unto them. Share the One who can help them in whatever they are facing.
Sing: He set me free yes, He set me free. He broke the bars of prison for me, I’m glory bound my Jesus to see. Glory to God, He set me free.
