Inseparable Love
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39)
Today’s Morsel: When we read about the apostle Paul, he was committed to the things of God. Even when he was not aware of complete truth, he was a committed man and one that loved God. He was arresting and having Christians killed, because he felt that they were going against the God that he loved and the word of God that he loved. Paul was zealous for the things of God. Operating under the law for what he had been taught and learned at the feet in the school of one Gamaliel. But after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, his baptism by Ananias, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost, He understood the One True God and refocused his love toward Him. And now nothing was going to separate him from that love. John wrote: “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” (1 John 4:7-11) If God loved us, shouldn’t we love Him and not allow anything to separate us from Him? The word nothing means nothing! Therefore, nothing should be able to separate you from God’s love, which is God Himself.
Sing: Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so; little to ones to Him belong, they are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me, for the Bible tells me so.
Thought For Today: The word nothing means nothing!
