Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2024 February 7

Fools Rush In Where Wise Men Never Go

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.” (Proverbs 12:15)

Today’s Morsel: Throughout scripture the word fool is used to identify those who refuse to listen to wisdom or learn from discipline. It also refers to those who are wicked and those who have a reprobate mind. When one refuses to acknowledge God’s sufficient evidence of who He is, His love for us, His desire that we might come to know Him through Jesus Christ, God manifested in flesh, he is seen as a fool. Scripture says: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” (Psalms 14:1) Solomon states that the way of a fool is right in his own eyes. Fools don’t understand that some places they may venture into will take their life. Fools don’t realize that drinking is bad for you until they are in prison or lose their license for a DUI. Fools don’t understand that smoking dope is bad for you until they are hooked on Meth, Crack, or Cocaine, and they find themselves on the street. They see their way as right and yours as being wrong being a Christian. Be not deceived, Jesus said, for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.

Sing: Let me walk with You Jesus, don’t ever leave me alone. For without You I could never, no, never make heaven my home.

Thought For Today: Know what kind of place you are about to venture into.
