2013 July 9 - Morning Manna

"But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus"(Ephesians 4:20-21)

Today's Morsel: Wouldn't it be neat if people always told you the truth? But there is something within folks that they just aren't honest. I have found that when people aren't honest or telling you the truth, they can't look you straight in the eye. They will look away or focus on something else. Even in the political realm, we so soon discover that those who say that they were telling the truth were often telling us a lie. But even sadder, is that some people in the church seem to possess this same character trait of satan, a liar. Paul said that if we are still doing the same old things, then we have not learned Christ because the truth is in Jesus. And John said, "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked" (1 John 2:6). Brethren, in Him, Jesus, is no guile at all. Honesty is not only the best policy, it's the only policy.
Sing: T o be like Jesus! To be like Jesus! On earth I long to be like Him. All through life's journey, from earth to glory, I only ask to be like him.
