You Can Trust God
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19)
Today’s Morsel: The next time someone asks you how you can trust a God that you cannot see, just ask them how they can trust in electricity that they cannot see. Or the cook in the restaurant kitchen that they never see? Or the person on the other end of the phone who we give our credit card number to having never seen them? Where the problem comes in with a lack of trust in God is that the devil plants doubtful thoughts in our mind, and we don’t like to wait for God to come through with what He says He will do for us. Moses states: God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Moses told the children of Israel to ponder for a moment and consider, and that they would see that God has always done His part for them. The failure was them not fulfilling their obligation so God could not trust them. You see, trust, like communication, is a two-way street. It goes both ways. I promise you, if you do what God tells you to do in His word, you will see that He is just as faithful to you as He said that He would be.
Sing: He’ll do it again! He’ll do it again! Just take a look at where you are now and where you have been. Did He not always come through, for you, He’s same now as then. You may not know how, and you may not know when, but He will do it again.
Thought For Today: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
