 O How I Love Jesus

“Then the disciples went away again unto their own home. But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.” (John 20:10-18)

Today’s Morsel:  Mary Magdalene seemed to have a strong love for Jesus. And why shouldn’t she? Jesus had cast out seven devils from her. I cannot fathom that many devils being in a person, but when I look at my life, I would not be surprised if He didn’t cast out that many or maybe even more. When we become born-again, there is no telling just how many demons Christ cast out of us. The man in the tombs at Gadarene had over 2,000 in him. They even told Jesus when He asked them what their names were, they told Him legion, for we are many. The relationships that we have had with others who had demons that we weren’t aware of, the crazy parties we went to, all the drinking, smoking, lying, witchcraft, false religions, demonic books, movies, and television shows we sat and watched, who knows how many demons. But thank God for deliverance, thank God for His blood that washed us clean. If you want to know why I love Jesus so much, these are just a few of the demons He delivered and washed me from. What ab0ut you? Can you relate? I can feel what Mary Magdalene felt. Relief from torment and confusion. That’s why I love Jesus!

Sing: There is a name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth; it sounds like music in my ear, the sweetest name on earth.

O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, because He first loved me.

Thought For Today: If Jesus has delivered you, you ought to love Him.
