Have Faith In God
“And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” (Mark 11:20-22)
Today’s Morsel: How would you rate your faith in God today? Some folks don’t have faith in God because they cannot see God. And many of them don’t trust Him because things don’t go the way that they want them to go. They say, “Well I prayed, and nothing happened.” Or they say, “All these years I’ve heard to trust God because He’s coming again, and things are just as bad as they have always been.” But I’ve come to realize that if you are serving God only for what He can do for you, then you will never fully trust in God. Faith in God doesn’t mean that you trust Him to work on your behalf and your time schedule, but that you learn to serve and to work in His way and in His time. God’s ways are not ours. His ways are so much higher than ours. Faith in God is predicated on your love for Him. The disciples were shocked that the fig tree was withered away. And when they mentioned it to Jesus, He simply said to them, Have faith in God. In other words, believe in the words that you hear Me speak and the things which you see Me do. That’s what faith in God looks like. When we take Him at His word, we will see the miraculous take place right before our very eyes. Even the things that we may not ask Him for. Remember, what Jesus said. All things are possible to him that can believe.
Sing: Have faith in God! Have faith in God! Have faith in God for deliverance, have faith in God.
Thought For Today: You can’t get anything from God without faith!
