You Are Not Always Right
“Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” (Proverbs 3:7-8)
Today’s Morsel: Don’t ever think that you know all and are always right. A person who is willing to listen to other’s opinions shows that they are wise and have respect for what others think. You are not the sharpest knife in the draw. Many are rich today because they were willing to listen to the ideas of others. Solomon states to be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD and depart from evil. You can keep following evil and doing wrong but know that there is an end. Then what? One of the things I’ve learned about life is that it can come to an abrupt stop and none of us can prevent it from happening. But if we depart from evil, Solomon said, it can be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bone. It will be healing and strength to you. If you want to be nourished up and in good health in the Lord, then you must depart from evil. Evil zaps you of your strength and power. “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)
Sing: He is my everything, He is my all. He is my everything, both great and small. He gave His life for me, made everything new. He is my everything; oh, how about you?
Thought For Today: “My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.” (Proverbs 1:10)
