2013 February 20 - Morning Manna

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
(Isaiah 55:1-8)

Today's Morsel: I once had a guy ask me, "What do you think the Lord feels about me doing what I am doing?" I told him, "I have no idea, because God's thoughts and ways are not as ours are." I told him, "Why don't you ask God what He thinks about it." Some people think that just because you are a pastor or minister of the Gospel, you are suppose to have all the answers, but we don't. Not me at least. Maybe some others do. I guess if I knew all that God knew, I would be God. But thank God I'm not, because there would be a whole lot of people zapped (lol). However, God does tell us to seek Him early. In other words, before you have to make major decisions, we should go to God and seek His wisdom and counsel in these areas. We should have a relationship with God, so that anything we are facing, when we are facing insurmountable situations and circumstances and we do have to make decisions, we will have peace about it. One thing I have learned, if we do not have peace about it, we can usually rest assured that we aren't in His will.

Sing: Peace! Peace! Wonderful peace, coming down from the Father above. Sweep over my spirit forever I pray, in fathomless billows of love.
