A Conspiracy of Interruption
“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.” (Daniel 7:25-28)
Today’s Morsel: Whether we like it or not, there is a plot and scheme by Satan to interrupt your daily life. Not only is their spiritual warfare taking place, but there is physiological warfare. The airwaves are being filled with lies, deception, and disinformation. News touting evil and division, rumors of wars, and threats of weather, is intruding on our lives. Social media platforms which were designed to build friendships and establish communications have become depressive and stressful for many. Evil is being called good and good is being called evil. As the news commentor Paul Harvey once said when speaking of the devil and his conspiracy, and I quote, “If I was the devil, I would leave things just as they are.” The enemy’s goal is to cause continuous interruption in your life. But we must follow Jude’s call to persevere: “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” (Jude 1:17-25) If you want to defeat Satan’s conspiracy of interruption against you, then you must stay on the offense and go after his kingdom and not allow him to keep attacking yours.
