Tickets
to The Kingdom
“And
when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they
returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of
the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must
through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.”
(Acts 14:21-22)
Today’s Morsel:
If you have traveled, whether by plane, train, or bus, before you can board,
they check your ticket to ensure that you are on the right flight, train, or
bus for where you are headed. Some people get upset at the process, but when
they are told that they may be trying to board for the wrong location they are
happy. Do you have the right ticket for heaven? Are you on board
the right train? Scripture says that after Paul was stoned and left for
dead in Lystra, they had departed for another city. But months later,
they would again return to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, confirming the
souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that
we must through much tribulation enter the kingdom of God. Paul wanted
them to know that to enter the kingdom of God, they needed to have a ticket of
endurance to make it. As Jesus said, he that endureth to the end shall be
saved. Therefore, we must get on board and stay on board.
Sing:
This train is bound for glory, this train. This train is bound for glory,
this train. This train is bound for glory, don’t carry nothing but the
righteous and the holy. This train is bound for glory this train.
Thought For Today: Get on
board and stay on board.
