Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 4 March 2020

Which Way Are You Looking?

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

(Proverbs 4:25-27)

Today’s Morsel: How many times have you bumped into someone or something because you were not looking where you were going?  There are many billboards and bumper stickers that are now telling drivers to drive now and text later due to so many automobile accidents.  In other words, pay attention to what you are doing and where you are going.  We need to keep our eye on the paths of truth, holiness, and righteousness without turning or looking to the left hand or the right.  We must pay attention and pray that God will turn our eyes away from beholding vanity and quicken us in the way.  We must set our affections on things above and observe where we are headed.  If we lose sight of where we are headed, we are sure to miss the mark.

Sing:  On Calvary's hill of sorrow, where sins demands were paid, and rays of hope for tomorrow, across our paths, were laid.
I see a crimson stream of blood, it flows from Calvary.  Its waves which reach the throne of God, are sweeping over me.

Thought For Today:  Keep an eye on where you are headed, the life you save may be your very own.
