Inscrutable
“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how
unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”
(Romans 11:33)
Today’s Morsel: One of the
things about God's riches, wisdom, and knowledge is that it is impossible to
understand or interpret with the natural mind. They are in some cases
inscrutable. Hard to understand or interpret. As Paul says, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned.”
(1 Corinthians 2:14) I believe the reason some folks
or atheists are mean spirited is because they are trying to figure God out by
natural means instead of spiritual means. Maybe you are one of those who
are seeing through a glass darkly right about now, as some religions have lots of rituals and rules, of which many of them are unspoken and inscrutable to the eyes and mind. But again as Paul states, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the
god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the
light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine
unto them.”
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4) But he continues, “But God hath
revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea,
the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10) Let me encourage you, if things
are inscrutable and do not make sense to you, seek God for His Spirit and
understanding and the things which seem strangely dim will come to light.
Sing: Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full
in His wonderful face, and the things of earth, will go strangely dim in the
light of His glory and grace.
Thought For Today: “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was
manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto
the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
(1 Timothy 3:16)
