Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 19 March 2020

Unrealized Power

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
(Luke 10:19)

Today’s Morsel:  One of the things I learned when I was in the military was how much power one has over others of lesser rank based on military authority given to them.  And in some cases, like today, and even in the church many do not tap into or use their power.  Jesus says, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."  This is one of the reasons that Satan keeps trying to inflict fear in saints because he knows that if they ever realize the power that they have over him, his power is broken. People can’t stop you from praying and talking about Jesus.  They want you to think that you can’t because they don’t want you to realize your power.  The reason most people don’t realize their power is they don’t read.  Scripture states, And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him? But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.(Matthew 21:23-27But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, Jesus said, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.(Acts 1:8)  Friend, you’ve got more power then you realize.  So use it.

Sing:  There is power, power, wonder-working power, in the blood of the Lamb.  There is power, power, wonder-working power in the precious blood of the Lamb?

Thought For  Today:  Tap into your unused power.
