2015 September 16 - Morning Manna

The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. (Psalms 19:9)

Today's Morsel: I often wonder why when parents ask their children if they took a bath or shower and the kids says yes, the parent often times will check the back of the child's ears.  What is it about behind the ears that makes parent thinks that the child is clean?  What if the child just washes their face and ears because they know that that is going to be the place the parent will check so they will be classified as clean?  David said that the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever.  When we reverence and respect God, it should keep us clean and unspotted from this world.  It should be a daily practice for us to remain clean at all cost.  If we are not careful, playing, working, and living in this world we can become so accustomed to it, that we will soon not fear God and we will take on the world's ways.  And those ways will make us unclean.  "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world", James said (James 1:27). How's your religion?  Are you staying unspotted?

Sing: I want to be washed in the Blood of the Lamb, I need a cleansing from the fountain. My soul is hungry, I need a cleansing within, I want to be washed by the Blood of the Lamb.

Thought for Today: A soul unspotted by the world is a trophy of God.
