Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
(Ephesians 6:10)
Today's Morsel: If you've ever noticed, most little boys like to play being super heroes. Superman, Batman, Spiderman, the Hulk. These characters give a young boy a desire to be strong and mighty. But sad to say, by the time they are teenagers many of them lose their want for power and strength. Strength and power is found in the character of a man. When a man lives by moral principles and follows a moral compass, there is nothing that can defeat him.
The apostle Paul wanted the church at Ephesus to remember who they were. And so he told them that the last words that he would leave with them was to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Paul knew that there would be a battle that they would face. But they must learn to stand strong in Christ when the battles raged. They must learn to be unmovable and unshakeable and that would require them to build a solid relationship with and in Christ. When we study and apply God's Word to our lives, and when we live and walk in His Spirit, there is nothing that can defeat us because we are built upon a solid ROCK - Christ Jesus.
Sing: I'm learning how to lean, and depend on Jesus. He's my friend, and He's my guide. I'm learning how lean, and to depend on Jesus, I found out, that If I would trust Him, He will provide.
