Inseparable
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Romans 8:35)
Today’s Morsel: Is there anything in your life that is closer to you than Jesus. Paul asks a very serious question here. And that is, who shall separate us from the love of Christ? The church in Ephesus was chastised by God for leaving their first love. (Revelation 2:4) This church at some point had a strong relationship with Christ but now they had allowed something or someone to pull them away, and they are being called by Christ to repent and to return unto Him. I can assure you that you are not going to find anyone or anything that can compare to Christ in your life. Many people today are suffering with restlessness, stress, depression, fear, and despondency all because they have allowed someone or something to pull and separate them from the love of Christ. Jesus isn’t going to force you to love Him and accept His love. He gives it freely to whosoever will accept it. But if you allow someone or something to cause you to forgo it, you are the loser.
Sing: He knew me, yet He loved me, He who’s glory make the heavens shine. I’m so unworthy, of such mercy, yet when He was on the cross, I was on His mind.
Thought For Today: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
