  52 Ways To Walk

“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:14-16)

Today’s Morsel: There is a book entitled, ‘52 Ways to Walk’ by Annabel Streets. It’s about the surprising science of walking, wellness, and joy, one week at a time. Paul states that we should walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. We must walk cautiously, and carefully, being alert to our surroundings. Life today is as though we are walking through a minefield. Therefore, we must be careful. Paul again admonished us:And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.(Romans 13:11-14) Walk honestly. Let our deportment be decent, orderly, and grave; such as we shall not be ashamed of in the eyes of the whole world. And we must “walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” (Colossians 4:5) Walk in wisdom - that is, conduct uprightly and honestly. Deal with them on the strictest principles of integrity, so that they may not have occasion to reproach the religion which you profess. Don’t just walk 52 times, walk daily with Jesus for your joy and wellness.

Sing: Let me walk with You Jesus, don’t ever leave me alone. For without You I could never, no, never make heaven my home.

Thought For Today: “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.” (1 John 1:6)
