Every Issue
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while
some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves
through with many sorrows.” (1 Timothy 6:10)
Today’s
Morsel: I
have come to realize that every issue has a root cause. Solomon says that the
cause of strife is pride (Proverbs 28:25). James says that lust is the cause of
war and fighting “From whence come wars and fightings among you? come
they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye
lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight
and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because
ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (James 4:1-3).
And Paul said where perversion, unholiness, and corruption are, the root is
that when they knew God they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful (Romans 1:21)
Headaches, pain, suffering, backsliding, hate, prejudice, backache, every
issue has a root cause. Medical, ministers, and education professionals are
studying day in and day out trying to find the root cause to try to help solve
the issue. Even salvation, joy, peace, and eternal life, all have a root cause,
and we have already found the answer and it is Jesus Christ. Therefore, that
part of your life should be complete without searching for its cause.
Jesus is the answer for the world!
