Walking With God

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.(Genesis 6:7-9)

Today’s Morsel:  Noah walked with God.  He walked according to God’s will, in the ways of truth and righteousness; he walked in a manner well-pleasing to Him, and enjoyed much communion with Him, as Enoch had done before Him.  Scripture says, “And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.(Genesis 5:22-24)  Enoch walked with God for three hundred years.  What a testimony of commitment and dedication to God!  What will be your testimony? To walk with God is to cling to His word and be obedient to His word and to His ways.  It is to trust God at all costs.  It is to keep your hand in God’s hand.  It is to be circumspect, cautious, vigilant, prudent, and careful.  As Moses told the children of Israel, “And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.(Exodus 23:13)  Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD, because he was a just man and a perfect man in his generation, and he walked with God. And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.(Genesis 9:28-29)  How are you walking?  Are you striving to be perfect in your generation?  Will you find grace in the eyes of God when He comes?  I desire to have the testimony that I walked with God and was well-pleasing to Him.

Sing: Hold to God’s unchanging hand.  Hold to God’s unchanging hand; build your hopes on things eternal.  Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Thought For Today:  Keep your hand in the Master’s hand.
