What Is The Bible?
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That
the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Today’s Morsel: I think if
more people would read the Bible for themselves and they would stop listening
to those who say that the church is evil and have never read the Bible
themselves, their lives could be so much better. It has been reported
that the Bible is the number one best-selling book each year, yet it is also
the least read. The Bible is the infallible word of God. It is Basic
Instructions Before Leaving Earth.
The Bible is designed to help make you become a better person and be able to
live your life with fewer troubles and hardships. When marriages fail, it
is because of violations of biblical principles. When children are
disrespectful, it is because of a violation of biblical principles. When people
are murdered, abused, molested, lied on, cheated, misused, or hated because of
the color of their skin or national origin, it is all due to a violation of
biblical principles. The Bible is a book of character and is designed to
teach us to live a godly, and righteous lifestyle. If you feel as though you
keep running into a wall and that nothing seems to be going right for you,
start reading the Book of Proverbs, and let the Lord help you figure it
out. “Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from
the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her,
and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote
thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall
give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to
thee.” (Proverbs 4:5-9) Having a Bible and not reading and studying it, is like
having a million dollars in the bank and dying of starvation.
Sing: Jesus loves me! This I
know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong, they are
weak, but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me; yes, Jesus loves me; yes, Jesus loves
me, for the Bible tells me so.
Thought For Today: “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto
according to thy word.”
(Psalms 119:9)
