Faith
“And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us
pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they
took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little
ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship,
so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a
pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we
perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be
still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them,
Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”(Mark 4:35-40)
Today’s Morsel: Do you really
believe and trust God? One of the things that will hinder your faith is
being afraid of death and dying. If Christians could overcome this hurdle
in their lives, I believe that they could live a more peaceful and joy-filled
life. If the enemy of your soul can cause you to fear death, he will keep
putting things and situations in your way to hold you hostage, to keep you from
trusting in God and in His abilities. God wants us to trust in Him and
believe that He can do all things and will be there for us. But if we
waver in our faith, we will never know this fully. We must build our
faith daily and allow it to be seen by all. Let me encourage you today,
get over the thought of the fear of dying, get it out of your mind, and enjoy
life.
Sing: He’s the only reason I live,
and oh what a reason. He’s the only reason I live, and oh what a
reason. There’s nothing in this world worth living for, it only leaves
you empty and longing for more. He’s the only reason I live, and oh what
a reason.
Thought For
Today: “But without
faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.”
(Hebrews 11:6)
