Kindness
“Therefore thou art
inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest
another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them
which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them
which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment
of God? Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and
longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to
repentance?” (Romans 2:1-4)
Today’s
Morsel: How many people have you led to
the Lord since you became born again? How many disciples have you
made? One of the biggest problems in the church right now is everyone is
complaining, bickering, and fearful, instead of following God’s word to lift up their
eyes and to look on the harvest field. When the harvest is
good and ripe, it can start to stink. Decay. And fall to the
ground. Jesus said it is ready. In writing to the church at Ephesus Paul states: “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the
truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old
man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the
spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created
in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying, speak every
man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry,
and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the
devil.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him
labour, working with his hands the
thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Let no
corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the
use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not
the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let
all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put
away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted,
forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”(Ephesians 4:21-32) Now
is not the time for the church to act like the world. We must reap the
harvest. Notice, what Paul said, “And be ye kind one to another.” Why
kindness? Because kindness has converted more people to the Lord than
zeal, science, Bible study charts, eloquence, or anything else. Show
kindness to others today, and see the results it has on them.
Sing: To be like Jesus. To be
like Jesus. On earth, I long to be like Him. All through life’s
journey from earth to glory, I only ask to be like Him.
Thought For Today: Kindness is a
fruit of the spirit you know.
