 The Transformation Book

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.(2 Timothy 3:14-17)

Today’s Morsel:  I am often asked how I memorize so many scriptures.  Well, my first answer is that I have a love for the word of God.  And my second is the Bible was written for our learning that we through patience and comfort of the scripture we might have hope.  And the third is the reason that other books were written for our information while the Bible was written for our transformation, so I commit and spend my time memorizing it.  As Paul told the church at Rome, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2)  We can never reach perfection without applying the word of God to our lives.  Again, Paul says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)  Everything that you will face in life and know how to deal with and overcome it, is found in the pages of the Bible.  You just need to read it and find it.  And if you have spent time memorizing the Word before you face the situation, you are prepared for the battle before it enters your life.  Transformation begins with applying the word of God to your life.  I believe that memorization helps with that application.

Sing:  It shall be light in the evening time, the path to glory you will surely find through the waterway; it is the light today. Baptized in Jesus' name.  Young and old, repent of all your sins, then the Holy Ghost will enter in.  The evening times have come; tis a fact that God and Christ are one.

Thought For Today: Are you transformed?
