The Changing Times

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
(1 Peter 1:21-25)

Today’s Morsel:  Times seem to be changing right before our eyes.  Many are now questioning what is going wrong with the world?  It seems like everything that is evil is being called good, and everything good is being called evil.  Moral principles and the moral compass seem to be off course.  Daniel prophesied, “And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.(Daniel 7:25-28)  He said that they would think to change the times and the laws.  Does that ring a bell and sound like the world in which we now live?  Paul wrote, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.(1 Timothy 4:1-5)  Paul said, The spirit had said that in the latter times things would change. Therefore, we must adjust to the changing times, but we must still hold to our unchanging principles.

Sing:  Time is filled with swift transition, naught of earth unmoved can stand; build your hopes on things eternal; Hold to God’s unchanging hand!

Hold to God’s unchanging hand!  Hold to God’s unchanging hand!  Build your hopes on things eternal; Hold to God’s unchanging hand!

Thought For Today:  Keep your moral compass pointed true north.
