Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
(Joel 3:14)
(Joel 3:14)
Today's Morsel: Most bad decisions are caused by not seeking God or godly council before the decision is made. What I have found is that most people come to you after they realize they have made a wrong decision and then they want you to tell them how to fix it. One of the problems with this is that these same people, when they come to you, will never tell you the complete story because of self justification. In other words, they want to be seen as the right one and that the bad decision was really not their fault. But notice what Joel said, "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision." In other words, everyone, sooner or later, is going to be faced with having to make some decisions in their life. But he wanted them to know that God is always present when you have to make them. And therefore, we should seek Him when we have decisions to make (my wording).
Sing: I'm trusting to the unseen hand, that guides me through this weary land; And some sweet day I'll reach that strand, still guided by the unseen hand.
Thought for Today: Almost all problems are caused by bad decisions.
