2014 October 21 - Morning Manna

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:1-5)

Today's Morsel: I think that some folks think that just because they have become born again they have finished the race, not realizing that they have actually just entered the race.  To be born again doesn't mean that you have finished.  If means that you just entered warfare.  You weren't the Satan's enemy as long as you were not born again.  But now you are on his target board for being a trader.  And now you must decided who will be your commander and chief.  Once you are born again, you must learn how to live, act, and discipline yourself so you do not become a casualty of our own foolishness.  The Bible must become your rule and guide book of how to live.  You must now walk circumspectly, cautious, and watchful toward them that are without to avoid pitfalls that are set now by your adversary.  Being born again means that you have made a decision to start over and live the correct way, the way Jesus desires and commands you to live.

Sing: Born again, there must be a change in me, born again, just like Jesus said; Born again and all because of Calvary, I'm so glad that I've been born again.

Thought for Today: Born again does not mean you've crossed the finished line. (Parker)
