2012 April 12 - Morning Manna

It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. (Psalms 118:8)
Today's Morsel: It is said that Psalms 118:8 is the middle chapter and verse in the Bible. Notice what it says: "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." So many people will take counsel from man over God. They put their trust in man over God and when things go wrong in their lives they wonder why. Many people are starting to become concerned with the erratic weather patterns that are taking place. Many of them are starting to ask and wonder what is going on. Even the weathermen and women are confused. They have gone from saying, "It's going to........," to saying, "We may see snow, or there may be rain, or we may see storms." They have failed to realized that as Paul said, "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence"(1 Corinthians 1:27-29). Man will never be able to figure out how God operates. So don't put your trust in man, but put your trust in God. As the Psalmist said, It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. (Psalms 118:8).
Sing: Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will hear them from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand, they are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
