2010 July 23 - Morning Manna

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (Psalms 37:4-5)

Today's Morsel: The most important single factor in individual success is commitment. To commit is to pledge yourself to a certain purpose or line of conduct. It also means practicing your beliefs consistently. There are, therefore, two fundamental conditions for commitment. The first is having a sound set of beliefs. There is an old saying that goes, "Stand for something or you'll fall for anything." The second is faithful adherence to those beliefs with your behavior. Probably the best description for commitment is "Persistence with a purpose." Commitment always ignites action. David said, if we commit our way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And that even included the desire of our heart. Do you have the stick-to-it-ness?

Sing: All the way with Jesus. All the way to glory. All the way with Jesus, all the way with Him!
