2010 July 28 - Morning Manna

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. (Psalms 118:22-23)

Today's Morsel: When told of their need for Jesus, many people reject Him. And so they try to build their own life without Him. As they begin to build, and things seem to be going alright, they continue to think that they can do it without Him. But when things begin to go bad, or turn for the worse in their lives, or they receive a negative doctors report, they realize that they now need Jesus. And so they begin to look for that stone (Jesus) which they rejected. When they find Him, they are quick to allow Him to become the head of their life. The Psalmist said, this is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. In other words, when we give Jesus His right place in our lives, we will see just how beautiful He can make any situation in our life better. We don't need God to show us how much we need Him. We just need to put Him in His rightful place as the head of our lives. As Jesus said, for without me you can do nothing.

Sing: I'm standing on the Rock of Ages, safe from the storms that rages, I'm standing on that solid Rock!
