A Heart Transplant
“A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” (Ezekiel 36:26-27)
Today’s Morsel: Medical technology is amazing. When they can kill you, and keep you alive with a machine, remove your old heart because it’s about to kill you, and give you a new heart, and you can live again, that’s amazing. The Lord knew that our old hearts were corrupt and ready to kill us. Jesus said, “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.” (Mark 7:21-23) And so, He’s come to give us a new heart. He said, “I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” Do you need a heart transplant? Does it seem that your mind is troubled, perplexed, and you never seem to have any peace and contentment? Well, why not come to Jesus and allow Him, to give you a heart transplant, and put His Spirit in you so that you can live and not be continually troubled with the cares and ups and downs of this life.
Sing: He touched me, oh, oh, He touched me, and oh, the joy that floods my soul. Something happened, and now I know, Jesus touched me, and made me whole.
