2014 June 16 - Morning Manna

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. (2 Corinthians 4:1-5)

Today's Morsel: I often wonder what the church could really become if every born again believer would find their ministry and give themselves holy to it.  Paul told the church at Rome, "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness" (Romans 12:3-8).  God expects us to use our faith and do something with it.  If we all did our part, the church would flourish the way that Jesus wants it to.  Do you know what Jesus has chosen you to do? Well, your number one ministry is to share the gospel with everyone; both saint and sinner alike.  And second, it is to be an encourager to others.  As we encourage others, we too will be encouraged.

Sing: God's got an army, marching through the land, deliverance is their song, there's healing in their hand, with everlasting joy and gladness in their hearts, well in this army I've got a part.
