A Lack of Knowledge

“Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.” (1 Corinthians 15:34)

Today’s Morsel: It’s sad when I look at the world in which we live and see the number of people who have no knowledge of Christ, nor what He came to do for them. Paul states, “ But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)  Many people are angry, bitter, upset, discontent, lonely, in debt, and distressed, all because they have no knowledge of Christ.  Solomon said that respect and reverence of God is the beginning of knowledge. He also states, “Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.” (Proverbs 19:2)  Are you angry, bitter, upset, discontent, lonely, in debt, and distressed?  If you are, get to know Jesus and allow Him to make you free.

Sing: What a friend we have in Jesus.  All our sins and grieves to bear.  What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer.  O’ what peace we often forfeit; O’ what needless pain we bear.  All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer.

Thought For Today: Knowledge of Christ is power.
